VIDIZMO allows users to embed published media (audio, videos, documents, images, playlist, collections etc.) in other web-based platforms using their HTML embed codes. VIDIZMO provides an added functionality in embedding by enabling single sign-on for improved security.
There are two ways this HTML embed code can be generated and copied:
i. Playback Page: All users who can access the media playback page can use this option to generate and copy the embed code.
Note: This option is only available if the Portal Settings have Allow Embedding under Media Publish Settings. Manager+ roles can also control this by configuring Default Publishing Rules for each media type.
ii. Media Manager: All users with Moderator+ roles with access to Media Manager, can generate embed code using this option.
Steps to Generate Embed Code from the Playback Page
1. From the Portal's Homepage:
i. Click on the thumbnail of your desired media file to be redirected to its playback page.
2. On the media Playback page:
i. Click on the overflow menu to expand more options.
ii. Click on the Embed option.
i. Embed Code: Use the text field to copy the Embed Code to use it on external HTML-based applications and content management platforms such as SharePoint, WordPress, Drupal, etc.
ii. Dimensions: Enter the required Dimensions for the video player to open as the default dimensions or frame size of the media to be embedded on the viewer's device.
iii. You can also choose to enable SSO to provide secure access to the viewers by selecting the Enable Single Sign-On check box.
Note: If you have configured Single Sign-On using Azure Active Directory on your Portal, read here to access embedded media on other platforms.
iv. Select the Autostart option to enable the video playback as soon as the player is launched. Using the Start At checkbox, you can also set the point from which the playback will start. Leaving it unchecked or setting it to "0" starts the playback from the beginning of the video.
v. Muted: To enable video muted playback, select this checkbox. The player's volume control can be used anytime to unmute the video during playback.
vi. Enable Fullscreen: This checkbox allows the player to automatically open in fullscreen mode as soon as the user video is played.
4. Below is an example of how an embed code can be used. You can also try embedding it here and preview the results.
i. Copy the embed code as described in Step 4-i and paste it in the left-hand side of the tool.
ii. Then click on the Run >> button at the top.
